About

Guillaume Jamet

Founder of Eikin. Games industry veteran, publisher, entrepreneur. Based in Montpellier.

Portrait of Guillaume Jamet

Guillaume Jamet, founder

For over 25 years, Guillaume has built communities and events, grown ecosystems and publishing labels, and supported countless projects and games.

He started in the early 2000s as a games journalist, then built Mondes Persistants, a media network dedicated to games and pop culture, acquired by Burda Digital Ventures in 2006.

He moved into marketing with Wgames and VPCom, then founded Is This Art, a communication and events agency behind Montpellier In Game. In 2015 he launched The Sidekicks, an indie publishing label that backed the early days of Midgar Studio, Splashteam and La Moutarde.

Plug In Digital acquired The Sidekicks in 2017. As VP Marketing & Publishing and board member, Guillaume built the publishing strategy from scratch, created the Dear Villagers and PID Games labels, and helped the company grow from 5 to 80+ people through a $70M raise in 2021.

Eikin brings that experience to the next generation of studios, and experiments with new ventures of its own.

A few achievements from the publishing years

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk

A tricky challenge: turning a very French comedy RPG into a worldwide success. Solved with bold ideas, like inviting Felicia Day to voice the Sorceress. It ended up selling more units in the US than in France.

Edge of Eternity

Seven years alongside the studio: from running the Kickstarter to publishing with Plug In Digital, a Game Pass deal, Early Access, and a profitable lifecycle for studio and label.

The Forgotten City

Full funding, production and marketing support for a critically acclaimed, award-winning game, including Best Foreign Game at the French Pégases.

Fabledom

Full publishing support for a remarkable one-person developer, turning a bold concept into a successful, cosy and fun medieval city builder.

Eikin emblem: a tree above flowing water

Why Eikin?

In Norse mythology, Eikin is one of the wild rivers that feed the roots of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. The games industry is the tree, Eikin is one of the rivers that feed it, and the leaves are the projects it helps grow.
